Ron Davis and Others Answer ME / CFS Questions after ‘Unrest’ Showing (Video)

Recently, the UC Berkley School of Public Health hosted a showing of the well-known documentary about ME / CFS patient Jennifer Brea, “Unrest.” Our own Scientific Advisory Board director, Ron Davis, PhD, is featured in the movie and also participated in a panel discussion after the showing. Also on the panel were David Tuller, DrPh; Dr. Lily Chu; Allison Ramiller, from Solve ME / CFS Initiative; and Dr. Jose Montoya.

The questions asked are fascinating, and the answers given were encouraging and enlightening. Some of the questions asked:

  • What is hindering an “ACT UP” advocacy effort, as was seen in the early days of AIDS?
  • Is EMFs (electronic and magnetic fields) somehow contributing to the disease?
  • Is ME / CFS more prevalent among relatives?
  • Would homeopathic-type treatments be better for ME / CFS?
  • Is there an animal model that could be used in ME / CFS research?

We want to express our appreciation to the panelists, attendees, UC Berkley and Dr. Lily Chu, all of whom contributed to this successful event.
