DESPERTANDO A PETER PAN (Waking up Peter Pan Gala) Hosted in Spain

Thank you to our friends and allies in Spain for hosting this wonderful event.

Shared from the National Pole Fitness Sport and Related Disciplines Association in Spain:

Besides the educational and outreach work that we do, our association focuses a lot of its efforts on social work, organizing activities and events and supporting a variety of social and integrative causes. ‘Waking up Peter Pan’ is an initiative by the National Pole Fitness Sport and Related Disciplines Association in support of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis research.

Our contribution is a very special event on Sunday, June 30th. We’re honored to present a gala in which different artists will express their support through singing, dancing, gymnastics, circus acts, and acrobatics. In exchange for this, we ask only for your smile and a small, symbolic contribution.

Many people visit our teaching centers year after year. Most of them are women, like the majority of the artists who will perform on stage at our event. They represent true stories of struggle, persistence, and overcoming, with their share of defeats, cries, and giving up. Because we don’t always have the strength to believe in ourselves and soar. Sometimes because we aren’t allowed to, or because we don’t trust ourselves enough and are easily influenced. Many times we don’t know what our obstacles are, and we yearn to identify them to be able to face them. ‘Waking up Peter Pan’ is a call to hope, to recovering that strength, that aspiration, that desire to thrive. It’s that hint of joy when we cry, the fairy dust when we’ve forgotten how to fly. It’s the compass that, even if it only helps us take one small step, will lead us to be able to fly again.
