From LPR to CFS

typewriterI have had very bad LPR (laryngopharyngeal acid reflux) for over the past year. In which time I saw so many ENT’s it wasn’t even funny. I ended up seeing this one that out me on tons a gabapentin for my pain in the throat (it was horrible pain) also had me taking 2 PPIs a day plus an H2 blocker twice a day… well a year passed and I was having one of my worst pain days in my throat I ever had. I desperately took about 5000mg plus of gabapentin, my PPI a few H2 blockers, and I guzzled a ton of Tums. This was all at one time. I obviously felt dazzled as anything as I stumbled to my chair to sleep on.

I woke up the next day felt fine, watched a bit of tv then took a shower, as soon as I got out of the shower it was like a freain switch went off. Instantly got this never before feeling in my head like I was in some kind of dream like state, really scary can’t even explain it and then the overwhelming feeling of crushing fatigue. It was like instant everything happened at the snap of a finger.

Well I found out that I developed CFS and it has been gradually getting worse since, becoming really weaker, 98% bedridden except to grab food. I have never heard a story like mine in all the stories I read so I thought I would share. Maybe even give a new idea of where to look for a biomarker. Also it’s funny everyone says it’s not your fault that you got sick, actually in my case it probably was. Now I’m just saying that they make a breakthrough this year somehow before I can’t even have my dad in my room with me.

hope, from scared.
